There are a lot of cats in Israel, but most of them don’t really want to hang out with people, unless you’re going to feed them. Everyone kept telling me that cats:Israelis as squirrels:Americans. That’s cool, but I think cats are way cuter than squirrels, personally.
This is a very tiny sampling of the many, many cats in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa that I wanted to be friends with. They weren’t that interested in being my friend, but I think it was more a language barrier than anything else.

yeah, i see a lot of indifferent expressions and questioning stares. maybe not the friendliest but they sure are cute.
