There are a lot of people in need.  These photos represent a small fraction of the damage that hit the northeast last week. If there’s no way you can make it out, consider forgoing some lattes and beers this week and DONATE.

I am used to having only a few minutes with my subjects, especially when shooting in NYC – so I was elated that I got to shadow Andrew for such an extended period of time. I emerged with a couple of bee stings (hey, par for the course), 5 rolls of film, and a whole new perspective on what one person is capable of. When you see Andrew in the Union Square Greenmarket, give him a shout out! There’s a lot of hard work, long hours, and passion behind those little jars of honey.

In case I wasn’t in touch with you during this time (and chances are I wasn’t, because I was either shooting, editing, eating, or rarely, sleeping), we ran all over the U.S. cooking with chefs ranging from home chefs/food experts like Samin Nosrat and Asha Gomez (who now has her own restaurant)  to culinary stars like Alice Waters and Lidia Bastianich. It was exhilarating, exhausting, and delicious – and after all that work, it’s thrilling that now the book is in its final stages of production! The book contains 150 recipes that Adam has worked to make feasible for any home chef, and tons of color photographs.  I shouldn’t forget to mention that the book also features still-life photographs of 50 of the recipes by the amazing Johnny Miller. A huge honor to be in the same book.
