While I’ve been in Fairbanks, I’ve been observing the Sandhill Cranes at Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge. As the days grow longer and warmer, more and more birds are arriving.

winter is hard. it’s cold and dark, and it makes my face hurt. but on those wonderfully sunny and crisp winter days, i can’t stand to be inside. these shots are from westfield and north adams, massachusetts.
i saw a beautiful sunset with my mother while i was visiting seattle.
